Love Untouched

You don’t truly understand love until you encounter the love of God. It is His love that brings you into a place of discovering who you are in Him.

We often ask, “What is love?” But the real question is, “Who is love?”

Society has given us a version of love shaped by movies;  a man meets a woman, they fall in love, and everything is perfect.

But that picture is incomplete. It has led many to chase a fairytale that doesn’t sustain real life.

Because of this, we spend our lives searching for love in people, family, friends, relationships. And when betrayal comes, we stop loving.

Why?

Because the love we’ve learned is conditional… or what we call “unconditional—until you hurt me.”

But real love is not just a feeling. Love is a person.

And when you discover Him, your entire definition of love changes.

We talk about identity and wholeness as women, but that journey doesn’t truly begin until we come to know the One who is love.

His character is described in 1 Corinthians 13: 4–7 patient, kind, not proud, not easily angered, keeping no record of wrongs. And when we truly see Him, His love compels us to change.

But before we look at others… we must look at ourselves.

Are we patient with ourselves? Are we kind to ourselves?

Or are we harsh, critical, and constantly tearing ourselves down with our words?

Do we act as if we know everything, or do we surrender and allow God to mold our lives?

Are we easily irritated? Do we give up quickly when we fail?

Or do we keep going, not to prove something to others, but because we love ourselves enough to grow?

I know what it feels like to dislike who you are, to believe you’re not good enough to accomplish anything great.

But as women, we carry so much within us.

The moment we recognize that, is the moment transformation begins in our minds and in our hearts.

We are warriors.

We are strategists.

We are leaders of our lives, our homes, and every role we step into.

Look at the influence women have carried:

Eve, whose decision impacted all humanity.

Delilah, whose persistence brought down Samson.

 Mary, who carried Jesus.

There is power within us.

And when we choose to use that power for good, we begin to see just how impactful we truly are.

Women are gifts.

To our families.

To our communities.

And even if we are not wives or mothers yet we are still gifts.

But it all starts here:

We must learn to love ourselves first.

Because “love untouched” is a life where we have never truly learned to love ourselves the right way.

Love begins with God.

Then flows to us.

Then flows through us to others.

Everything starts within.
